About

Our Story

26 years of excellence

Life imitates art at Chef Marla Adams’ Atlanta French Restaurant, Babette’s Cafe. Marla was inspired by Isak Dinesen’s story and Academy Award winning film, “Babette’s Feast”. She brilliantly brings the story of food, grace and community to vivid and delicious life in a rustic, European setting. For 26 Years at Babette’s Cafe (Best French Restaurant in Atlanta), has offered the flavor of stepping into a restaurant that is tucked into the French Countryside. “This woman, this Chef has the ability to transform a dinner into a kind of love affair, a love affair that makes no distinction between the bodily appetite and the spiritual appetite.” – Babette’s Feast.

Babette’s delights of slowly braised meats, locally sourced produce and traditional culinary techniques gift you a simple, unique meal with a touch of the exotic and a twist of the romantic. Mussels steamed with White Wine, Strawberries and Serrano Peppers, Filet Mignon with Gorgonzola Sauce and Tobacco Onion Rings and Piroshki of Pork and Veal with a Tarragon Butter Sauce have made their mark on the Atlanta culinary scene. A child with international upbringing, Chef/Owner Marla Adams wants you to savor the same French, Italian, Spanish and Mediterranean flavors she grew up with in her own french restaurant in Atlanta.
